DANIA BEACH, Fla. – A Dania Beach man choked and sexually battered a woman he lived with in a bunch house in February, resulting in his arrest on two prison fees, deputies mentioned.
According to prison data, Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies figuring out of Oakland Park arrested Roderick Fernandez, 49, on Wednesday.
An arrest warrant made public on Friday states that on Feb. 4, Fernandez entered the woman’s room, struck her within the face and choked her, forcing her to accomplish intercourse acts.
The woman suffers from despair, Alzheimer’s illness and hallucinations, the warrant states.
She used to be taken to Broward Health Medical Center with accidents from the assault, deputies mentioned. There, she used to be given a sexual attack exam.
DNA assessments from the woman’s breasts had been a fit with Fernandez, consistent with the warrant.
Fernandez is dealing with fees of sexual battery and battery through strangulation.
As of Friday, he used to be being held in BSO’s North Broward Bureau prison facility in Pompano Beach on a $100,000 bond.
