Collin County homeowner found tied up during burglary

MURPHY, Texas — Two individuals have been arrested and are accused of burglarizing a house in Collin County on Wednesday and tying up the aged homeowner, police mentioned.

Police in Murphy mentioned officers responded round 11:10 a.m. to the 200 block of Starlite Drive, close to the intersection of South Murphy Road and East Renner Road. A caller had reported a suspicious car driving across the neighborhood after which stopping behind a neighbor’s dwelling.

According to police, officers noticed two males in masks leaving the house’s rear storage door with property. The officers detained them.

Police mentioned officers found the homeowner, an aged lady, together with her arms tied behind her again. The lady reported that the 2 males broke into her dwelling. She was unhurt.

The two males, recognized as 36-year-old Jorge Morales and 27-year-old Albert Silva, have been arrested and charged with burglary of a habitation and illegal restraint. They have been booked into Wylie jail.
