Antonio Armstrong Jr.’s grandmother continues to support 23-year-old behind bars

HOUSTON – On Aug. 16, 2023, Antonio “A.J.” Armstrong Jr. was once discovered accountable of killing his folks whilst they slept of their Bellaire house in 2016.

This was once A.J.’s 3rd time on trial for capital homicide. The first two led to a mistrial, however this time issues have been other and A.J. was once discovered accountable, sentenced to lifestyles in jail with the potential for parole after 40 years.

KPRC 2 Investigates spoke with A.J.’s grandmother, Kay Winston, the mummy of Antonio Sr. after the decision.

Winston, who has supported her grandson from the very starting, says there’s no doubt in her thoughts that A.J. is blameless.

“Had I had just a thought that A.J. killed my son, I wouldn’t be here. I would have never supported him or stood by him, ever! Ever,” Winston stated.

On Tuesday at 6 p.m., watch the emotional interview with Winston, who says her complete circle of relatives remains to be supporting A.J. and can proceed to support him till he’s loose.
