MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Toy grenades found in some baggage within the cargo space of Miami International Airport led to a big police presence together with a bomb squad response.
The suspicious objects, at first believed to be two grenades, have been discovered inside baggage in a cargo warehouse at 6650 NW 22 Street shortly earlier than 5:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
After a number of hours, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue says nothing severe was discovered.
What they thought have been grenades have been truly “demilitarized novelties.”
